Get the Best Out of Your Cut Roses

  • Before placing your roses in water, trim all the stems diagonally by two centimeters (1 in.). Make sure you use a clean knife or scissors.
  • Remove all foliage from the part of the stem that will be under water. Leaves should never touch the water or remain inside the vase.

  • Fill your vase with plenty of fresh, clean water and if possible add flower food at the recommended rate.
  • If no flower food is available, change the water daily. If you have used flower food, simply top-up the water that the flowers have consumed.
  • Do not place your roses in direct sun. A cool location with indirect light will help give a longer vaselife.
